It is recommended that this course be delivered over 4 days. \nPrerequisites: \nICS 300 \nLearning Outcomes \nBy the end of this course\, students will be able to: \n• Identify course objectives and position-specific resource materials \n• Describe the function of the Planning Section and the roles and responsibilities of the Situation Unit Leader \n• Describe the function of the Situation Unit and the roles and responsibilities of the Situation Unit Leader \n• Identify how to obtain\, analyze\, and disseminate necessary incident intelligence \n• Identify how to select and use appropriate methods to display incident intelligence \n• Demonstrate how to use advanced technology to develop and display incident intelligence \n• Explain how to effectively establish and maintain the Situation Unit \n• Participate in a Planning Meeting and Operational Briefing \n• Demonstrate the ability to complete required documents to support the incident \nTarget Audience: \nAgencies and organizations are responsible to determine who within their organizations requires ICS Position Specific training\, based on local incident management organizational planning. \nThe audience may include students from a variety of agencies and functional disciplines\, including fire service\, law enforcement\, emergency management\, public works departments\, as well as public health organizations\, medical emergency teams and hospitals.
